Chuck, I have seen several of the Bentley patent guns in auction catalogs. I think Lagopus' gun has the largest "hammer" spurs I have see.. Usually much smaller. Here's an Arthur Turner from Crudgington and Baker that has different spurs, but larger, too, than some. I guess I would call the Bentley pat. an outside hammer as the "almost inside the gun" hammer strikes an exposed firing pin.
