We have shot type restrictions; in England it is non-toxic shot for geese and ducks but in Scotland it only applies over wetlands. I tend to use the big 8 now when I go to Scotland to flight geese over fields where I can still use lead. I use it in England occasionally for blowing out grey squirrel dreys. I make all my own ammo for it so it is cheap to use. I've never seen to sink box used here but there is no reason why not. Punt gunning is still practiced.
