Crowshooter,
Doesn't sound like too bad a deal to me. Glad you got the gun and I'm sure you'll get many years of good use once you shorten that length of pull just a little.
Yeah, pictures would be good to look at when you get a chance.

Is it possible this is a conversion of the original P/G stock to straight grip? If a conversion what would you look for?

Researcher's Right! You got a helluva nice SW at a helluva great price. If it's a restock it is very nice & worth more than you paid for the gun. Get a letter from AHFCA.
Best Regards, George

Labowner: Sterlingworths are known to fire in the rain, almost every time. They do not when your finger misses the trigger. And it is a known fact that New Hampshire crows will fly in any weather !!! Well the joy of a new gun was only slightly deminished by the lousy weather. Crow hunting in the rain is not as much fun, old guns and Johnny Stewart callers are better left dry. Yes I would have liked to get out and pop a crow or two with it, maybe tomorrow or Tuesday.
Bob I was hoping you would win the big Ithaca today. There will be something else interesting coming along, there always is.

If it were me, I'd have to convert the short tang into a long tang. Not a bad little gun though!
