New here but have been watching this site for a couple of months. To me, the Holland and Woodward action is the most elegant of the Farquharson style actions as the trigger guard is more graceful. Looks like it was set up for LRBP shooting as I think that is a Ron Snover rear sight as well as the 45-110 cal. It would be a nice action for somebody like Steve Earle or Mark Silver to reproduce. Wonder what kind of interest there would be for it. Bob

No - not a Snover, but a Neumann tang sight. If you have no use for it, I might be interested. After all, I have a Westley Richards ZAR that needs a dedicated tang sight...

Do you have any idea what the rifle was original, caliber and such?

Recoil Rob, I believe you are correct, decorative at this point. Relation to Rigby flats I can not say.

Waterman, the 360 #2 is a fine old round, low pressure and great sectional density. Holland never chambered in it preferring the .375 variants.

Bob, I love the looks too and plan on contacting Mr. Silver regarding Holland style mounts.

Martinibelgian, I have no clue what kind of tang sight that actually, and most likely will not use it.

Mr. Petrov, almost every action in the books seem to have started out life as either a .256 or a .303, both great rounds but I have a .256 and .30 super flanged. Many of the guns were rebarreled before they ever left the factory and many more were rebarreled afterward by Holland and by others. I plan on a custom in the Holland style for this rifle with an upgrade in engraving to a style that was used by them. It should be a fun build.

I had a bid in on this one as well. The description called the sight an 'MN'. I did manage to come away with a very nice looking rook rifle, but the rest of my bids went for naught.

Where did it come from and may I ask what one would have to have paid to aquire it? Thanks

holts last auction for 2,500lbs, Brit falling blocks seem to be climbing in value.
