Well here it is, After 8 months of sweet and love. All i have left is refit the tang screws.(i misplaced the first set).I want to give credit to all that worked on the gun.I did all the wood fitting and finish.I also did all the metal prep work.I also did the rust bluing. The engraving was done by Ken Hurst of North Carolina,The Case color was done by Doug turnbull,And the checkering was done by John Reese of Montana.Let me know what you think. Also i wanted to list my cost.
1.gun fox 16Ga. $1000.00
2.engraving $1500.00
3.case color $250.00
4.checkering $250.00
5.pad $25.00
6.Semi-inlet stock $750.00
7.sweet and tears $priceless
Some of the first pictures are of the gun at the start.

I suspect the Ole Ansley would have been as proud of that gun as you are! Congradulations on a beautiful job.

I especially like the tang screws and the mullered short lines. How do you decide which lines in a checkering pattern to muller and which lines to make narrow borders or borderless? Did you groove the screws yourself or purchase them with the narrow grooves?

Looks great!
I assume this was originally a pistol grip gun--did you straighten the tangs or leave them as they were? Trigger guard?

That'll be fun to lug around come fall...enjoy
