JD, the issue, however, is that Shiloh doesn't make an 85. And even Shilohs have issues. A model 74 in 25-35 seems a bit like a tofu burger at a pig roast.

I've visited their shop and the Shiloh shop as well. Both are well worth the visit.

A couple of English friends ordered a pair of 85s from them and had a friend take delivery and bring them to Raton last summer. Another friend shoots one at Lodi and does extremely well with it. They are fine rifles.

In a few days, I'll have direct data in my hands concerning another option - Wyoming Armory in Cody. My rifle was in Des Moines yesterday and should be shipped to the FFL today. They don't make rifles from scratch but if you have an action, they will build you one however you like it. Cody, Wyoming makes a nice stop to visit too. But maybe that is a bit out of your way.
