Hi Cugir and welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll find it a great source of info in the future.
Anyway, the finish you are speaking of is called a coin finish, it can come in different variations; bright, dull, french grey. The metal itself is steel. You can brighten it up if you wish by using a little Flitz Metal Polish. Don't rub hard with this, just lightly and don't use any sort of power tool, just a little hand rubbing.
As to the wood, you can refinish it with ay of the popular oil finishes. Tru Oil, Pro Custom Oil and there are others.
I guess a question is, What do you want to do to the stock? A total refinish or just a touch up?
