The gentleman you were asking about was indeed Don Brown of Yakima Washington. He sadly passed the end of February. I am his son-in-law.
He spent the last 20 or so years re-creating the Alexander Henry Long range sporting target rifle. He offered kits as well as finished rifles. There are a few kits left that can be assembled with his parts and the help of a man who assisted him over the years, a skilled craftsman himself.
