How well did the Canadian version of this scheme go? It was a bust. Cost many times the money it was expected to cost and never go done. Now our fearless leaders want to improve on that failed attempt by doing a version of their own. The Federal Government could not run the Mustang Ranch selling sex and booze to people who wanted it.

How does any sane person expect the Government to register guns from millions of gun owners, many of whom will refuse to cooperate? Every illegal gun in the country will not be registered, so what is the point? To keep better track of the good guys? Or to have a list of people to tax and liscense to make personal gun ownership too expensive for the common man. This will make the Second ammendment apply to only those who can afford it by paying for the right with new taxes and liscense fees. How about if free speech only applied to those who could afford it? You pay for privalages not rights. Think about it. It is a privalage to drive and the Government can take away your privalage to drive, it is a right free speech or gun wonership. They can not be allowed to denie you your rights.

Over stepping is the only way most elected officials lose reelection these days. Think House banking scandal, asault weapon ban and now total gun registration of guns and owners. More than ever we need term limits to break the professions, lifetime politicians, hold over your lives and rights.
