Bugsy, I think most of us tinkers get our actions 'in the white' by de-blueing and polishing an older field grade gun. Seems to be fairly common fate for Lefever Gs, Fox SWs and others. Part of the reason is financial, for example: the only white action I see for sale right now is the Sabatti O/U from Galazan, and for about 1/2 the price I got a Browning SP trap gun to use for a project.

".... unless he can push a 12"bastard across a block of 'O1'oil hardening and make that piece finally fit into a HA Linder or a Boss12b c 1899 and it dupes the orig.Perfectly"... " Dave, I never had a Linder or Boss in my hands (but I probably wouldn't clap-n-snap someone elses gun ) but I did make a cylinder hand from O-1 for a Colt Python when I was 21 or 22 and timed it. Crazy Colts have that two stepped hand, what a job for a kid that'd never seen it done nor could spell 'gunsmith', let alone been to a school for it or apprenticed. As I recall, I made more than one to finish that gun.

Brian, their side plated 'President' model shown is the closest thing to a cafeteria for engraving patterns that I've seen yet, it has everything from MT-6 racing stripes to funeral model gold lines to embossed critters to a kinda two-toned paint job .. can't say the compostion is remotely tasteful, but it is dif. Kinda think it mighta been better had it stayed in the white .. & not had the side plates fitted w/the house cat. Must be aimed at the same buyers that Beretta has in mind with their enamaled rhinestone guns .. X'd Chisel's safari jacket and hand-lasted brontosaurus eye lid boots crowd. ' edit: just hav'n some fun; at home under the weather today. Looks like they make high quality parts, wonder who all they supply? Lotsa good shotgun bbls made in France for more than just French makers, you know. Also the custom shop at Anotonio Zoli would supply in the white SxS's if you were dilligent. The current Zoli heir is/was a big time flyer enthusiast and fine shot. Not many here have ever seen a high grade or custom shop Zoli as few leave Italy. And more power to DT and his fine sense of humor and his efforts to pass some of that how to push a 'bastard' along.

I communicated with them a few years ago and inquired about some individual barrels to build a set up from. They wanted $700 for some basic tubes with lumps. If that's any indicator, it'll cost a guy a few thousand for a pile of parts that will build into a gun worth .... literally hundreds. ..... if it's assembled well.
