The spring that holds the sear in place for the lower barrel has quit working. The sear doesn't position itiself right so it doesn't catch the hammer. Who would be good to work on the gun?

It has a removable action. Quite compact and elegant by the way.

Best,

Mike

The ASE Series represents the finest O/U's Beretta ever built with the exception of the SO's. The barrels for SO's & ASE's can generally be fitted to each other, and many of the ASE barrels were of the Boehler antitint Steel.

I said all of that to say this - Rich Cole is the only person that should work on that level of gun. At one time he was the only factory bench trained gunsmith for SO's in this country. He has worked on my SO's & ASE's for many years without ever a glitch. There may be other guys capable, but no high end Beretta of mine or of any of my customers will ever go to anyone but Rich Cole.

AS they say, just my opinion.

Mike,

Rich Cole stands alone when it comes to Beretta's, especially their o/u guns. He travels several times a year to Italy. The Beretta Gallery stores often send customers to him for parts and work.

I have had Rich do work for me. He quick and reasonable.

Mike,
You can make that sear spring with a piece of 20 ga piano wire just wrap it around a 6 penny nail and shape it and clip it like the one on the other side. Believe me I'm no gunsmith and I had a homemade one in mine for 2 years and the Beretta smith saw no reason to change it.
