The old and severly limited records are of no help on the originality of these two barrel sets. Gun 84309 was proofed 4/1/53 with no indication of a second barrel. It was the last gun of a 10 gun production order of 20 gauged 26 inch barreled guns. Gun 564348 was too late for the proof book I have. That gun was 'finished' 4/19/54 although actual shippment date could have been anytime thereafter. Regret additional information is not available.

Thanks, Walt. The two barrel 20 is serial numbered and appears very original. Too bad it didn't have documentation.

The old proof book has a few entries marked "pair" and a few have another date added but not these. Doesn't mean they weren't sold as a two barrel set, just to bad we don't have the invoices. I will look in a few other places and let you know if anything turns up.
