Interesting read, thanks for taking the time to post it. I've been doing a little digging on the subject and have this to offer.

From an Outer's Recreation article by Crossman Feburary, 1922 "A New Stock for the Service Rifle" Talking about Ludwig Wundhammer. I knew that Wundhammer had a good working relationship with Ross and bought wood and barrel band sling swivels from them but don't remember reading this before.
