I have a pile of automotive literature that is very hard to find and I spent a great deal of time and effort and money in procuring it over the years. The thing is, once I read it and gained the knowledge, its value to me became greatly diminished. I've thought about selling it on ebay, but I might just toss it, too. The money it would bring pales in comparison to the hassle of trying to sell it.
Instead of tossing it, why not find a young man with similar interests but without your knowledge, and pass it on to him (I know, most kids today are only interested in video games and texting). Somewhere out there, though, is a kid who would devour it like I did the vintage aircraft maintenance literature the old-timers passed along to me. I don't know what stuff you have exactly, but I'd be surprised if you had trouble selling it on ebay. Maybe just put it all in one big lot and put a price on it low enough to make it attractive, but high enough to at least make it worth your trouble. Just some thoughts.
