The original Ithaca NID beavertails I've seen and own, have a long screw down from the front into the forearm iron, similar to Parker Bros. beavertails. Here are Ithaca beavertails -- the short style 1926 to 1934 (from a 4E 20-gauge) and the longer style from 1935 to 1948 (from a 4E 12-gauge).
What is the barrel length of your Magnum-Ten? Most seem to be 32-inch but there are some 34-inchers. My late cousin Clarance (Bob) had a 34-inch Grade 1E Magnum-Ten.
