Destry,... the shells are really not for sale but for me to shoot! Bill has always been generous with me in the past and I would have gladly given him a box or two if I was able to ship the stuff.

Walt,..thanks for checking the records It's appreciated,...I guess since there is no mention on the FE there is a chance that it could be original, I'll try to post some pics

I also have a question,..the trigger is mechanical, but there is a small spring loaded inertia block that hangs from the underside of the top tang on the left side directly over the left sear, the sear itself has a leg that extends upwards almost in contact with the this block,... I've never seen this before and since its independent from the trigger mechanism I can only guess that it is there to prevent the gun from doubling??.......is this correct?...this is the first single trigger Ithaca I've ever had apart

Here is a quick snap of the invoice. BT was not factory original. I don't currently have a nsst but my thought is the recoil block prevents firing the second barrel from the involuntary second pull. I have Harry's patent and disposition (law suit deal) on that trigger and he talks a lot about the 'involuntary second pull'.

That was over two weeks wages for my Father at that time, as a warehouseman at Seattle Hardware!

In 1940 my Dad was making $1.25 as a sheetmetal worker. He got an extra 25cents an hour for being a layout man.

A journey sheetmetal worker in my town now makes about $27 an hour.

Best,

Mike

The spring loaded block is indeed there to prevent the left sear from doubling when the first (right) barrel is fired on the Single Non-Selective Trigger.

The same style block in the same position is used in the SNS trigger in the Nitro Special. But the ones I've seen do not have the high spur on the left sear.
