The problem is that Factory loads are getting faster and faster all the time. The faster hits harder and kills longer myth is just another reason to reload. You can only kill it if you hit well and most shooters can not hit a flying garbage can lid at 40 yards. Heck most shooters will be ten yards off on their best guess of what is 40 yards. So I do not care how fast their shot is traveling unless it is faster than the speed of light they will not hit a bull in the butt at 40 yards with 1500 or even 1700 fps. Factory shells are appealing to uneducated shooter who blames the arrow and bow instead of the hunter for his failures. First this was with steel and now with lead shot shells. Both shed velocity down range so fast that the hyper loads become almost exactly the same after 30 yards.

1150 to 1200 fps with larger shot has killed more ducks for me than "faster" shells will ever kill for me. Even if I keep shooting for the next 50 years. It is the shooter not the arrow.
