Has any one reblued the barrels on a Ruger Red Label? I have one in for a reblue and cannot find a trace of the metal used to join the barrels anywhere. I think they were blued using the hot caustic method origionally but want to be sure. Thanks Bill

I was under the impression they were soft soldered and rust blued, I could be wrong.

if i was to guess i say they're brazed at least on newer tubed guns. those lovely black framed ones with good wood were probably lovingly soft soldered.

I sent my 28 gauge Red Label back to the factory due to ejector problems. They had to reblue the barrels after the repair. I have no idea how they did it. They have a good warranty, take advantage of it.
