I believe RST is producing good ammunition in 2 7/8" length.

I too prefer the Cablea's gun by a long shot. Yes, it's a "plain" gun but just reeks with quality. And it doesn't appear to be abused. The only screw that shows any sign of turning is on the floorplate. The dolls head fits perfect. The wood looks to be well headed up. Wish it didn't have the repaired chip on the forend but it is what it is.

Go for it! I doubt you'll have any regrets. And 10 gauges are a hoot to shoot. My loads are for 1 1/4 oz and 1 1/2 oz of shot. Great patterns and very short shot string. Real zapper on ducks and geese.....and Spring turkeys.
