This is a Belding & Mull bolt sleeve sight that was introduced in July, 1926.
The maufacturer asked customers to send a bolt sleeve and a complete striker.
Price $15.00

So when the trigger is pulled, does the sight move forward with the striker?, it is kind of hard to see from the photos. Very cool sight, thanks for posting it.

Have two on Krags. They were also made for Rem 30 and fitted to the special B&M sporter made on that action which had a stock shape that presaged the NRA/Whelen style that Remingon later adopted. This model probably also would fit 1917, not sure. Sight may also have been made for 1903. If someone has a B&M catalog maybe they could check.

Bolt sleeve sights do not move forward with striker.

Can't say I like the nut and bolt treatment of the striker.

I have a reprint of the B&M 1928 catalog and can not find anything on the sight other than one in one of the pictures in the scope section.

Clyde Baker, in his book "Modern Gunsmithing", is highly complimentary of this sight.
