Where can I buy some first quality "stock oil" to put on my fine guns after I clean them? Read that it should be made from "boiled linseed oil" Thanks

There was a product called "Lin-Speed oil" but I don't know if it is still available. Tru-Oil works just like the old Lin-Speed did and I use it on my stocks when needed.

One can thin Tru-oil 50/50 with mineral spirits for a thinner, faster drying coat.

I have been very pleased with Winsor and Newton Refined Linseed Oil available at JoAnne's, Michaels and other art supply stores. Using a Q-tip I put 1-2 drops on the stock and rub it in with the palm of my hand.

If there is no damage to the finish you would be much better off just applying a quality paste wax. Goes for the metal too.
If you're not touching up the blue too every time.

CCL Conditioning Oil. Order it from the Double Gun Journal folks. Great product. It does need to cure for a week or so, so it's not for use during hunting season.
Wax is the worst thing in old technology; it just builds up over time and white-spots in the rain. Thompson's Water Seal is much better for a weatherproofer during everyday use.

Yes. Works great on wood and steel parts and doesn't harm the existing finish.

I use the old English formula, which is a 50-50% mix of Boiled Linseed Oil and Turpentine.
