For once we may be on the same oscillating wavelength. I'm trying the Fiocchi Exacta Premium Target Load in paper w/ 1 1/8 oz(12 bore) and a published vel. of 1150 instead of the Federal Gold Medals. I've found a few flats for $60-$70 USD per flat.

Some months ago I bought entire supply of violet boxed paper Fiocchi loads from local Gander Mtn. for $5.99 or $6.99 per box. The black paper case isn't as nice as Federals but the price is certainly better. It's too bad they do not carry them now. I say might as well keep American folks working instead of those in foreign countries. Among many shooters the Federal loads you mention are ranked in top five best target loads right behind the best Italian stuff.

I concur totally and use the Federal Gold Medal as game loads and Fiocchi made in Missouri is fine as frog's hair in my book.
