This is what I have: He was born in 1885 and set up in business aged 21. His father and Grandfather were also in the gun trade. Arthur Ilsley, Gun Finisher. 27 1/2 Whittall Street, Birmingham 1909, back of 131 Steelhouse Lane, 1910-12. Arthur Ilsley & Co, Gunmaker 28 Whittall Street 1922-23. 8 Whittall Street, 1924-25. Arthur Ilsley 16 St. Mary's Row 1926-28. Arthur Ilsley & Co. same address 1929-30. 11, St. Mary's Row 1932. Not recorded after this date but did amalgamate with Ward & Sons and the Warwickshire Gun & Manufacturing Company in 1945.
