Which manufacturers produced guns and what were the models named that featured "Stars and Stripes" damascus patterned barrels? If you've got any pics of them, I and I'm sure others, would enjoy seeing them!

TIA,
bamboozler

Not sure if these qualify or not.
1887 L.C. Smith 10 ga. Quality 2, 12 ga. has the same patern.

1892 WW Greener 12 ga., barrels rust blued/etched by me.

Sorry gentlemen-just returned from another week at Camp Geronimo.
Mike's barrels are indeed "Stars and Stripes", also called "American Flag" or "American Flag Bunting", "Washington N 3. B.P." by Remington, and Ferlacher Austria.
This is Ross Berck's Spencer Gun Co.

and a 1888 Parker Grade 2 Toplever Hammergun

Similar patterns have been found on Ithaca Lewis Grade 4, Ithaca Flues 1 1/2 Grade, Remington 1894 C grade, and Hollenbeck Gun Co. drilling barrels.

"Stars and Stripes" is NOT "Etoile" or what Remington called "Etoile 3 B.P."

NOR is it Turkish "Star"

PeteM understands the 'how' better than I, but fortunately there are illustrations from Sachse's Damascus Steel showing the production of a "Washington" barrel (which is referred to as Etoile' ) here
http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dfg2hmx7_163vgh5prdf
It all starts with the lopin or billet.
