I've had a Gaspar Arizaga high end gun for about 10 years. Probably built in the mid 60's to early 70's. Sidelock, ejector H&H pattern, side clips, with stunning wood, excellent engraving and case color. Two barrel set. Shoots great and for 2800.00 I consider it a pretty nice gun. I use it as my rough gun for bad weather hunting and clays shooting. Only work needed is replacement of both main springs during the course of a lot of rounds down the tubes. Gaspar was capable of building a petty nice gun when requested. Would love to find a repro label for the gun case.

Gasper Arizaga closed their doors some years ago.

In terms of “quality” (which I use here to denote the relative number of skilled man hours put into a shotgun) Gasper Arizaga was like all the artisanal Spanish gun makers; a buyer received the quality he was willing to pay for.

Here in the USA we mostly see inexpensive guns made for hardware stores, so most of the Gasper Arizaga shotguns we see are low price point guns. But every now and then we see a gun purchase by an individual with enough money to buy a top end gun, and such guns are very high quality indeed.
