Destry- I'll pass that on to my buddy Leslie. He wrote a scathing letter protesting that to the "Powers That Be"- My only objection is the same I voiced about the Cabela's and other "Big Box" catalogues- all their models look like Steve Stunning or Polly Pretentious- ever heard Eagle's drummer extraordinaire Don Henley's song "Dirty Laundry"-- "We don't have to be right, we just have to look good"=--
You and I and countless others here are experienced waterfowlers-the "mud in the trenches-sometimes" Macho form of hunting- layout boats after divers in a 40 knot wind, spooky decoy sky Canadas on the Eastern shore, wary puddlers who circle and circle and don't always commit to your blocks-she is a stunning broad indeed, but no sweat, no mud, no blood on the deceased greenheads (thanks be they didn't put hens on her strap) all too neat and manicured for me.
I have filched a few copies of that high-end magazine from my dentist's office (returned them later)- and as I don't train dogs or shoot clays or shoot on the International circuit- not my bag I suppose. I like the Double Gun Journey because it deals 99% with my deepest love- good side-by-side guns, their histories, and features great articles on Parkers by your friend Ed Mulderlak-also has a great classified on both for sale and wanted to buy, well laid out- and that is "Verbotten" on the SS site or in the magazine, unless you are Jack Puglisi or Herschel Chaddick-- one man's Miller is another man's Micheloeb!!
