I wholeheartedly agree TT, but he said he wanted a nice American shotgun, there is nothing NICE about a Model 12, a sinister looking machine built to do one thing and that is to blow huge holes into anything and everything that is dumb enough to get in front of it!!!

I dunno. I've owned some pretty NICE model 12's. And it is the quintessential American pump gun. There's always room in my closet for a Model 12. Chopperlump

Best place to search might be the U.K. market as American made doubles, when you can find them, sell for much less here than in their Native Country. I had a Parker G grade made in 1893 with damascus barrels, both nitro proofed in Britain and in proof. The gun had a terrible amount of drop in the stock and I would never have been able to shoot with it. It was not in tip top condition but was tight and safe; best I got for it was £40 on a trade in. That will horrify some on the site but that is the way they go. Good luck on trying to find one. Search the UK and Western European auction sites for the best prices on nice USA double guns. By the way, don't worry much about the GE Grade Lefever in the Cabela's link. It will be gone before you call unless there is something wrong with it that is not in the ad. The import hassle may be more than you're willing to endure.
