The unfinished stocks from the GunBroker vendor mentioned are unfinished, not fit to your receiver, and not checkered. They will require a good bit of work to make a finished stock on your gun, just as do the semi finished stocks from other sources. If you somehow were not aware they come in that state, the fitting and finishing work can be rather tedious. It's very easy to ruin a semi inlet stock real quick. Recommending someone to take your gun and restock it (as I read your question) is not the same as buying a semi cut and finished stock and doing the remainder yourself. If you think you can handle the fitting and finishing, buying such a semi completed stock can save a good bit of money.

I know I need a competent person to fit and finish SxS are not the easiest ones to do even with a good semi fit. can you recommend anyone?
