Hi, I am looking for information on one of my SxS shotguns. It is marked Casa J. Uriguen Eibar (Spain). Looks like a seven pin sidelock. Tried various forums and sale sites for information on the maker and value. Not much is available about this maker, looks like a lesser known maker from Eibar. Value is all over the place from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand.

Any information about this maker will be appreciated.

Found a bit more. It seems that they used the brand name Reno for some models. Lagopus.....

Thanks Lagopus, Yes my gun too has RENO in gold on the top. Not sure if RENO is model name. As I mentioned earlier quality & value of the guns by the same maker and same model (RENO) has too much variation, here is another pair on guns-international and the asking price is $4000 each, looks like well made gun with some very good features like hand detachable sidelocks, gold-washed articulated triggers, cocking indicators and pins

I have seen RENO guns for as low as $300. I think J. Uriguen called all his guns RENO regardless of action (boxlock or sidelock) or quality. No wonder they are not in business any more.

I have been doing Spanish gun for longer than I can remember. I probably somewhere along the line have a catalog from them. Its pretty clear from the quality of the engraving, fit and finish its a very low grade gun. I would bet that even if its a 7 pin lock that if you take the locks off its poorly fininshed inside too.

Like many Spanish makers this one apparently covered the spectrum of quality as well. Just compare the cased set on Gunsinternational above with the one that started this post.
Low to mid hundreds sounds right to me.
