Gary,
My Victor Sarasqueta Model 7E has the Nº7E engraved in the long tang trigger guard, my guess is that yours should say in the same place.

 Regards.

Gary, I'd say your gun is a higher grade than a 4E. Mine was imported by Stoeger back in the 50's and is marked "Zephyr 4E"but your engraving is far more intensive than that on my gun. Yours looks to be a real beauty in very fine condition. The guns by Victor Sarasqueta (sidelocks) are real sleepers. Mine (a 20 ga.} is well over 50 years old and all springs and sears are fine and crisp. The ejectors are perfectly timed and shoot the empties 6 feet behind the shooter. Mine is coin finished, splinter with pistol grip, fine checkering and drop points. Enjoy your beauty! And thanks for posting the excellent photos. Chopperlump

ejsxs,no sort of writing outside "victor sarasqueta" and the proof stamps and the serial number. I've looked over all areas with a flashlight...

Chopperlump,I actually like the VS better as far as looks and feel. I have not fired either one, but I have ejcted empties out of both, and you're right, they do toss them far!! Thanks
 Gary

And this one was a 20 bore two barrel set I used to have. It was apparently a 6E or 7E JC
