The problem is, Ohio bow season opens this Saturday. I'll shoot it "soon", but I won't be able to get to my club for a week or so. It's just not as important to me as bow hunting and is resting comfortably in the safe. I do take Shooting Sportsman and like your stuff, so I'll make an effort to speed up the process. Gun season(s) are after Thanksgiving here. Other than that strap of metal at the muzzles, it's very nice looking, IMO and the wood looks great (to my untrained eye)...

OK. That didn't take too long. I shot it this past Sunday after taking a nice buck with my bow the day before Thanksgiving (after spending every spare daytime minute in the woods).
I shot 4 boxes of Remington Copper Solid Sabots. Ended up an inch high at 50 yards and about 8 inches low at 100! The left barrel consistently impacts about 4 inches to the left of the right at 50 yards. My farm doesn't offer many shots longer than 50 yards, so I'm not too worried about what happens at 100 yards, at least for now.
The recoil is... substantial, but I have shot worse and don't plan to shoot 20 rounds at a time very often. No shoulder bruises the next day, BTW. It caused a bit of a stir at the range - no one had seen anything quite like it and I still find it very handsome except for that strap by the muzzles.
We are smack in the middle of Ohio's gun season but the weather is most unpleasant. I may try to shoot a doe with it, but the whole process has made me realize I like bowhunting whitetails much better than shotgun hunting.
I am looking forward to my RBL 12, though. I enjoy clays even though I'm mediocre at best.

I ordered my RBL 28 on July 8, after they had stopped production of components for these guns. I actually called to order a couple of butt pads, but when they told me the RBL 28 could be done in about three weeks, I fell for it. It's now late September and still no word on it, even though I have called a couple of times to follow up. My RBL 20 took 26 months.

I picked up my RBL 28ga/30" last Saturday (end of November). This is the gun that they said would be ready around August 1. The wait was irritating, but was worth it. I went with 2X wood on this one because I thought the 3x on my RBL 20 was not a good use of limited funds. I did ask for "nice wood" when I ordered the 28, and they obliged. One side is about 4X and the other is about 3X, and it looks better than the 20 gauge. Have not shot it yet, but am very pleased.

Thanks Keadog, would still like a report on 100 yards convergence. Are the barrels close than 4" or farther apart?
Your report is not pariculary impressive, but the guns sure look good.

I wrote the tutorial on posting photos for this BBS and the instructions are so outdated and convoluted I fully intend to write a new set this winter. You will find it is incredibly simple today. For the time being go to the tutorial and scan down to some of the comments and you will find it much easier following their suggestions rather than mine.
