Chuck, have you had a chance to use it with Gloves on? Buttons look small and relatively low profile, should someone in a Northern clime worry about that?
Dave,
I've used it with very thin gloves in the field when in SoDak with temps moderate (40s). Yes, some of the buttons are small and low profile. I think the real beauty of this collar is for training. It does have some room for improvement, but I'm pretty darn pleased with it. I just bought Hickox's latest video "Great Beginnings, Training the Upland Retriever" and the pointing dog version too. I have only watched the retriever video, but it's the best video for yardwork I've watched. It incorporates clicker training as well as the DT collar training. Clicker training provides a positive balancer to the corrections of a collar. I'm having a great time as well as my dog, with clicker training methods. My dog is very, very upbeat in training sessions.
