I asked for opinions on the SSM dog forum and got a pant load of responses. Talked to a few folks and decided the Dogtra was the unit for me. Drove over to the Collar Clinic in TC and felt their imput was positive on the Dogtra so I got the Dogtra [two dog] 2502 T&B, the newer version. Has a 0 to 100 level gradient on the response mode. One of the nice features, is the beeper. Has the point modes, but the locator is helpful and I also use it as "Hey, I'm talking to you. yes, YOU" Brother is using it on his new springer. It's helpful when he's working with his other goldens and just wants to get the pups attention without the others responding to his whistle and draw everyone back to his location. Just an opinion.
