The late Frank Malin business was located in Melborne and London, Ontario. He did for a time own the Boswell name but he never produced any guns in England. How did we get Malin mixed up with Churchill?

Boswell?? Love 'em, (but not the Malin built Boswells) but we were talking about Churchill. Did I miss something?

If this were a Malin thread, it would be up to five pages by now. I think I printed the last Malin thread, but don't know where I filed it. I wonder how Bonhams got such a price for a Webley and Scott 700? William Larkin Moore I can understand. It isn't sold yet. The pictured Churchill is easily a $5000 or more gun, no matter who made it. I wonder if it is one of the Texas Churchills? I think those are listed somewhere by serial number but I don't remember where.

Because that's fair market for a high condition 20 bore Model 700. A good friend sold a nice 20 bore Model 700 last year. He priced it at $4500 - too low - and it was GONE.

I'm starting to get that idea. High condition base model guns are a great deal in today's market because most buyers keep them in that condition for the collectors and shooters of the future. I don't have room in my house for all the 700 series Webleys in mint condition that I have passed up for $800. The Churchill is a great gun and a great buy in that condition.
