I have never found anything in a dumpster, but I do enjoy my evening walks around my subdivision on garbage night when people set things out for the next day's garbage man. One neighbor of mine redid his kitchen last spring and tried to sell his used cabinets at a garage sale. When none of them sold, he put them out for the garbage man that week. I picked them up at 3a.m. and now they are hanging in my garage. The same guy had set a large Ryobi plastic box out for the garbage one evening. I thought it would make a nice carrying case for something, so I went back over to get it after dark. When I picked it up to take it home it was full of something I figured was trash. But on the way home I figured whatever was in it would go out in my garbage. When I got home I opened the box and there was a nice Ryobi drill, hand saw, battery and the charger. The battery was bad so I went to the Home Depot and bought a new one for 25 bucks, put a new saw blade in the saw for $5.00 and now they both work beautifully. The drill was about a $175.00 drill. Other neighbors put out cabinets, entertainment centers and all kinds of building supplies that I bring home. My reloading station has cabinets and shelves from all over my neighborhood. But, so far........no guns.
