I am kind of having a hard time visualizing how the actions open, and what they do look like when they are open. Could you please post some pictures, thanks

Heck, John E., since it is a Norse rifle you really ought to call the top pictured gun's calibre 6.5x55 Krag, not 6.5x55 Swedish !!!

Yes, here are a couple pictures of the action. The lever on the outside is brought up and back towards the shooter. The lever being attached to a cam that rotates inside the breech-block causing it to move slightly rearward (opening the chamber) and then down.

Well, it is not exactly a sidelever Martini or Peabody. The Norwegian name for the rifle is Tennstempel. And as you can see from these diagrams how the breechblock more or less "floats" in the action. Where the Martini and the Peabody have a pin at the back restricting there movement. Please also note in the diagram how the block enters the rear of the chamber upon closing. Something like a cork in a bottle
