If memory serves me they were originally a cap lock rifle that loaded from the breech? Or am I thinking of a different rifle? MP Sadly Deceased as of 2/17/2014

However with the external lever being on a cam that moves the breech-block downward instead of upward like the Kammerlader. It is very similar to the Martini Henry. Although when closing the breech it actually extends it about 1/4 inch into the barrel sealing the chamber.

OP John E. Sidelock Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 68 Midwest US	Well not quite The top rifle is chambered in 6.5X55 Swedish. The same round used by the Swedish military well into the 1970s. A very nice flat shooting cartridge. Now the bottom two are the large bores. the middle one in about 40 and the bottom about 50 cal. Of course originally black powder rounds. Still not the pressure of the ultra mag but twice the lead.

I am not sure if they were actually made by Hagen or other gunsmiths. It is my understanding that Hans Larsen a Norwegian gunsmith from Drammen designed the rifle. Hans Larsen having workshops in Norway and Belgium.
