I'd check with our good friend Mike Orlen, in Amherst, MA. Google him up.

Mike Orlen can do you a top quality job. The only consideration is if your gun has enough wall thickness near the muzzle to allow the choke and still be safe.

Bonehill, are you sure you want to mess with your hammergun that way? Have you tried using different loads to tighten up your patterns? This is a very draconian measure you're taking and will not help the value of the gun at all. It's always a shame to pull metal out of an old gun. Justin

Justin: I shoot sporting clays and feel I need a little choke at the distances we shoot. Before I got this gun someone tried to open the choke with a drill and I had to cut 2 inches off the muzzle to clean it up. This is an American Arms side swing and I have two others just like it that I have restocked to my measurements and I don't need all three with the same choke. See ya: Mike

Not worth it in my opinion.
Use shells to tighten the pattern.

Out there doing it best I can.

I had the same experience. What I did (and recommend) is having Briley install a set of their "thin" choke tubes.

Hello Justin,

Bonehill is asking who can do the jug choke, not if he should do it.

I am of the opinion that if the gun will get a lot of action jugged, it is a lot better
that having it in the cabinet and not using it. After all it was made to be shot.

If your barrel walls are too thin for jug choking and you can't/won't use screw-ins, Orlen can solder in permanent choke sleeves. Pretty much invisible and don't compromise BWT.
