Well I guess the Alabama Game and Fish missed the the opening of a real good dove season by a wk. My usually "birds gone wild" dove field was sparse with the exception of a hour or so, still my fox 16 ga. sterlingworth did manage to knock down 11 on 20 shots, pretty pleased with that! (has to be the gun!)

That's great shooting! Particularly if taking all comers. Curiosity only, but what chokes?

FWIW, I've usually enjoyed better shooting after the opener and often late in the season in Oct. when it is more pleasant to be out in the afternoons. Morning shoots still strike me as a kinda 'new deal' and I have yet to make my mind up if I like them or not.

Tw, I had the bores opened up to ic, and m, i planned on hunting with it, and thats my favorite combination. I enjoy opening day hunts, My friends and I make a day out of it, and the field we hunt, a huge popcorn field needs alot of hunters to keep them moving.
