I have a bunch of STS hulls that have been reloaded several times and are burned and stiff around the crimp area. I cut them back and bought a 2 1/2" kit (around $30 for my 600jr). I get good crimps except the ridge around the crimp is wavy. I spoke to MEC and they said since there is no crimp memory that is what happens unless I skive the crimp area and make it thinner or I can just accept the waviness since it won't affect the shooting.

I load 9/16 oz. of # 8 since 5/8 fills the wad too much. I am using Unique(13.5g) on Eightbore's recommendation. I have made a dozen to try but have not had time to shoot it yet.

Standard reloads and off the shelf shells are too strong for my five pound simson hammer gun. Estates show primer flow and both have too much kick.

I am using Duster 2834 red wads and Rem 209's and the pressure is pretty low for this gauge.

I will report the results as soon as I have a chance to shoot it.

So many guns, so little time!
