You did the right thing by asking for advice and informing everybody you were a newbie as a dog owner. I am sure you are aware by now that there is a lot to learn as a new dog owner, training, feeding, heath, what all of those letters are before and after the names in your dogs pedigree etc. etc. Dogs are like any other new hobby, job or big boy toy, they all take time to learn and the only stupid questions are the ones not asked. Take this as a lesson learned as there will be many more.
I can tell from your other post about your dog how proud you are of her, and how much you love her.
