I have seen a few AYA case hardened receiver Matador tens for very reasonable prices since I bought mine a few years ago. I thought I only needed one, but now I'm sorry I haven't bought every one I have seen just to offer to friends. The next one I see, I am going to buy to test my and Terry's idea about shortening them and installing screw chokes. I will shorten and install chokes in my 32" gun whenever I see evidence of damage from steel shot. I have a lifetime supply of 1 3/4 ounce steel loads, see no reason to use expensive no tox as long as I don't shoot at the long birds. When I shorten an AYA, I am thinking about hollowing the stock and trimming the big beavertail to a splinter configuration. At 28" with abbreviated wood, the gun should weigh under nine pounds.

Unless you want to tote 12lb crowbar, I would go with Citori Satin Hunter 12br with 89mm chambers. I think 89mm chamber on shoulder-fired fixed breech gun is , but that's the one I would pick. The thing has everyting goose chaser could wish for: satin finish, tubes, approx. 8lb wt.,....Personally, I would go with 10br Semi-Auto by Ithaca (now made by Remington),... Actually I would just use Hevishot in 12br to extend range and forget that stupid 10br.

Glad to hear your good Matador report, Bill. My 12 gauge double-trigger and 20ga single-trigger were poor. The 12 frequently doubled.

I noticed that on Zabala's website, they appear to still be manufacturing a 10 Gauge SxS, the 213 Magnum?

http://www.zabalahermanos.com/catalogo-en.htm

Anyone know if any of these are being imported to the US or what one of these goes for. I sent Zabala a email as well.

Ok, here are the three guns that I am looking at:

Kassnar Windsor I ($1,075): http://www.collectorsfirearms.com/admin/product_details.php?itemID=9404

Zabala ($200 current bid):
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=63107495

Hawes Firearms AYA (375 current bid):
http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displa...LL%20AND%20FULL

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The Kassnar like the Richland is most probably manufactured by Zabala Hermanos. Look for the "Z" is a shield for the proof mark. I shot a Kassnar 10 for a number of years, as well as, a 12 Richland. The Kassnar was finished a bit better that the Richland but greater in weight. The AYA 10 will be the lightest and recoil the most. Anybody know where a 12 3.5 Beretta SxS can be found?

Can anyone give me the bluebook or approximate value for these three guns? As I have said before, I'm no collector and want to get the best gun for the money.

I really appreciate all the advice everyone on this site has given me.

It definatly looks worse off than the others, but is AYA a better manufactured gun?

Yes, maybe the AYA is a bit better gun than the others, but the condition is a clue to future problems. That AYA has spent time under water. It is already bid to more than it is worth in that condition.
