Apparently according to books I have read about the loss, Nash described it as a Becker gun when advertising to get it back, so he must have known that Becker's name was on the gun. As Markethunter implies, there are probably many accounts of the loss of the gun in various books describing it. I still doubt that Fox stamped the barrels since there is nothing on the order card about it and it looks like something Becker probably did after the delivery of the gun.
