So I have been running around the paint stores and hardware stores today, looking for the good stuff to mix the forum favorite.

Absolutely no one has turpentine or linseed oil!!! Hmm. Progress with the polyurethanes I suppose.

So, knowing I had a stash from days of yore, a search on my shop shelves produced a quart of boiled linseed oil and a quart of gum turpentine. I wanted to start with fresh, but the old stock will have to do.

I was wondering what Venice Turpentine is, so a google search tells me it is turpentine made from the Western Larch tree.

All this tells me we must stock up on the old stuff before it goes the way of the Unicorn.
