Pardon the interuption, brand new to this sight. If you would like me to start a new post I will, recently turning 40 y/o on 12.26.09 my wonderful wife presented me with a W.RICHARDS 8 guage single shot hammer, she aquired it thru my brother in-law who has had it for many years. I have search and found W.Richards in Liverpool. after reading these posts many of you sound well versed in this subject any help would be greatly appreciated. Interested on where this Gun was made and approximately when. with this 8 guage my collection is complete, next I will need to aquire a 1" or larger punt gun. I am going to attempt to post pictures of the gun and the markings
W. Richards in liverpool is still in business I believe. You can try emailing them and ask them to do a letter, but like most gunmakers , checking the email is not a high priority these days.
A good tip I got from someone here. Buy a prepaid phone card for the UK and call them. I found that out after a couple of 100.00 phone calls. good advice.
