IM,
Re: the engraving process. A year ago the CSMC guys told me it
was going to be photo-chemically etched, commonly done on factory guns like Citoris. Process steps from a web page:
  • Generate artwork on mylar from Mech-Tronics in-house CAD/CAM system or customer supplied data.
  • Clean and pre-treat the material.
  • Apply 1.5 mil dry PHOTO RESIST (photographically resistant) mylar layered film to the metal sheet to be etched.
  • Expose the film via UV (Ultraviolet) light to transfer the piece part photographically to the previously treated sheet of metal.
  • Develop the metal sheet thereby exposing the piece part image.
  • Chemically remove the unprotected material areas by etching.
  • Rinse and strip the photographically resistant film from the sheet.
  • Proceed to next steps of manufacturing operations

Well just got back from the innaugural hunt. This one's a kepper. Shot a bunch of chukar including a true double on my first two shots. I took some pics but I didn't bring my USB cable with me so they'll have to wait. I actually have to say I was a bit surprised how well I shot it, it's stocked a bit high for me but it didn't seem to matter. It's not the same quality as my Garbi but I paid twice the RBL for that. Don't think anything in the price range touches it. It handles great, looks great, tastes great mmmmmmmm...RBL.

PS I'll measure the wrist when I get home it is thicker than average but feels comfortable. This is the first 20 gauge SxS that I've had and it feels to be between my 28 and 16..
