Hello everyone. We inherited a lot of guns from my uncle who passed away October 31st, 2009. All these guns are way out of our range for what we want.
Anyhow, we have this Purdy SxS 12 Gauge. A professional told us that it was made in 1893 (around that, I can't remember exact). Basically, we're not sure to trust or distrust this guy. Basically, he told us if the Purdy has a "damascus" barrel it's worth more. He told us also that if the barrel has been redone by Purdy themselves, then it's worth more money. Otherwise the value will be dropped.
Does anyone know how to tell? He didn't tell us, and said he had to look at it. We don't want him to tell us it's worth a lower amount, when it's worth more. That's what I'm afraid of.

http://jeep.sidrahq.com/guns/list/As you can see from the Purdy it's numbers are 63, 64, 66 so press ctrl+f search for "066" "063", etc. For lists larger then 99, do not include zero.
He told us the Model 12 is not worth more then $3000-$3500. And he told us the Model 21 is only worth money if Winchester engraved it.
