Mr. Niedner lived at 524 Main Street. The shop was at 612 Spruce Street. Of course the numbers may be different now. I can't remember the name of the cemetery but it had just snowed and my pictures did not come out as I had hoped. Good Luck,

As I remember, the community college in Dowagiac, had a nice display of Niedner and Shelhammer, along with lots of pictures and some of their work. You might start there!

I did go to the community college there and took some pics, tho the director of the museum wasnt much help with details about the display. i plan on going to dowagiac tommorow, the city hall should have some idea were these men are burried. thanks mike on the street addresses. if i find something i will post about it,i have a camera and a vid cam too so im prepaired.

Dowagiac has a pretty nice library, I would stop in there and see if they can direct you to some of the old Niedner people, I think there was a doctor in town that had kept a history of the gun and fishing lure business.

The factory was located slightly NW?? of the Athletic field. Later there was a plant on that location named Duwell. The backstop for the range existed until at least 1966 but the old factory was long gone.
