I guess I'm fortunate in that my kids have never asked for a loan from me. I only wish they would quit asking for money altogether. It really cuts into my gun buying. I was thinking the other day that if we all threatened to have our guns burned upon our death the current values would skyrocket. You know, buy them now or go without. LG, how did those TMs work out in the SW?

I'm your boy. But, don't try to PM me here. It seems to be on the fritz.

"Let's start seeing that young'uns have the thrill of owning a fine gun and take the pleasure of paternity in another generation of fine gun owners, collectors and shooters."
Thank god for networking is all I can say. I, as John, pass on the generosity of others because it's the right thing to do. Only incidentally is it the easiest path to immortality.

Ted! finding a nice middle-class American gun can be a chore these days. There is the clapped-out and there is the high conditioned, and not much in between, or so it seems to me.So, I had better start traveling in the right circles before my son needs a better car.

Are we going to compare average American made for the working man gun against the English " best " - or our best ? Of course the 100 year old " working mans gun " won't be in the same condition - it wasn't used in the same manner . Now take an American " best " , that was cared for as such - they're just as good , or better IMHO . Paul

KY Jon, We moved about 4 years ago, but they all found us. The two that seem to have the most trouble paying us back are mine from a previous marriage. Must be bad blood from the (ahem) ex. My step-kids are thought of and treated like they are mine biologically, and we don't seem to have any trouble with them paying us back as soon as they can. Maybe I spared the rod too often?

"just as good," I don't think so - but they're more interesting.I've had some working Brummies that were one hundred years old, and without the crow's feet of the Americans.
Perhaps refreshed is the way to go.

"Ole hat" for me, I always get a "burst.com" message when an interesting .375 and up bolt gun shows up at a shop. For example, I passed minty .375H&H Sako FN Mauser to comrade when I chose not to buy it. Like new .375H&H Merkel 140.? BL for $4250 (very good price ;)) also found a new home. Oh yes, there is a network out there.

Jeez Lowell, From the topic header I thought you'd taken a job at Cisco.
