Webley dates back to 1834. Became Webley & Son some time later, wasn't Webley & Scott until 1897.

Cogswell set up in 1777, became Cogswell & Harrison in 1874. They bill themselves now as the oldest London gunmaker, but there have been many permutations in those 230 years, and little continuity.

The H & H Climax was built by W & C Scott prior to the merger with Webley. As I recall, it was also known as the "Seven Patent Scott". Quite a few were made in the 1880s.
